The Lotto Curse Goes On

Abraham Shakespeare won the Florida lottery for $30 Million dollars. Â He was a illiterate truck driver’s assistant who hit it big. Â Then enters Dorice Moore, who became his friend after he won by saying she wanted to write a book about him. Â For most people, that would set off all kinds of internal alarms. Â I guess when you are simple folk, that explanation seems logical and harmless.
Harmless it was not. Â Dorice ended up with a million dollar home to share with her boyfriend and two million in the bank. Â The money must not have been enough because now she’s under arrest in connection with his murder.
Abraham’s body was found buried behind her house under a cement slab. Â Allegedly she was trying to find someone to take the rap. Â Dorice went to great lengths to make it appear that Abraham was still alive. Â She wrote a letter to his mother posing as him — that’s real intelligent when he was illiterate. Â She also had a friend of hers call his mother posing as Abraham. Â Hell, Dorice even tried to pay people just to say they’ve seen him alive.
Dorice swears she did not murder him. Â No amount of money is worth taking a life! Â But it’s worth faking he’s still alive when he is cemented in your backyard? Â Yes, let’s praise that moral compass.
Apparently, there are other persons of interest in connection to this case.  Her lawyer is instilling fear — and hoping for a plea bargain — by saying the killer is still out there.  Sad part is the judicial system probably will let her plea out and then they’ll get the name of whoever she’s paying $50,000 to for taking the fall.
