Decision by Fear (of blame)

Why do we view any change as inherently bad? Change is almost never embraced or celebrated in our society. Decisions are made, or not made, often by the fear of choosing the wrong path. Why shake a boat…even if it’s shaky…when you’ve at least figured out how to keep your sea legs on the vessel?

Change is necessary to the essence of life. The world, our evolution, technology…it’s all from change. However, our society that change created has conditioned us to be weary of the unfamiliar.

We play mind games with ourselves in an almost self-bullying manner until we have no idea what road to traverse. We do the same with others; they do the same to us. You’ll find yourself with a choice consisting of two paths…after speaking to 10 people, you will have no less than 8 different ways to view your upcoming choice. Many people cower and crumble from the weight they feel from the responsibility of making the ultimate call.

We fear responsibility because we fear blame. Those who enjoy credit enough to risk blame are the only ones who blaze beyond their fear to revolutionize their lives and their world.

“Caesar Salad -

Crisp Romaine Lettuce, shredded Parmesan and Romano cheeses, and homemade spicy croutons with our classic Caesar dressin.”

Why was it that when I got this salad, I counted about 4 pieces of Romaine Lettuce and the other 99.5 % of it was Iceburg lettuce.

Time to close shop you Fake-Me-Out-Panera
